Located in Veraguas, Panama, Catalina’s Hideaway is a tropical resort owned and operated by two Toronto natives. The owners reached out to us as they wanted to create a unique bathroom aesthetic that paid homage to their Toronto roots. The Flyer Vault supplied over 500 flyers which were assembled as a collage, and printed on vinyl. They were then added to the walls using a special adhesive. The bathrooms at the resort now double as a defacto music museum. No wonder people take a long time in them!

👉🏻 Pink Floyd “Their Mortal Remains” is an incredible multi-media exhibit about their illustrious career as one of rock’s greatest bands.

I visited the exhibit when it was in Montreal and was blown away. The level of detailed story-telling and memorabilia was mind blowing.

We’re talking the actual bricks from The Wall tour, the original synths and sound machines used for DSOTM, an original bed frame from the MLOR album cover, the artifacts are extensive - sourced from all 5 members of the band.

The Syd Barrett exhibit was especially moving and poignant. If you’re a Pink Floyd fan you’ll want to budget at least 3 hours to fully immerse yourself.

The exhibit kicks off June 16th at the Better Living Centre.

POST NO BILLS is an exhibit showcasing Toronto history through the lens of the humble street poster. Running at the Toronto Reference Library until June 25th. Definitely worth a visit ⚡️

It was an interesting thought experiment. And although there`s still a lot of debate on what a new Leafs goal song should be, it`s clear the vast majority of people (including the players) are tired of Hall & Oates "You Make My Dreams." We need something with more edge. Sometimes, it`s the little things that can change a mood. Change a mindset. Change a culture. And perhaps this is one of those things.

The BIG IDEA put forth by a lot of people is that each player gets to select their own goal song. I think that would be awesome. Even on those goals that are close with a deflection,
nobody will care if the wrong player`s song gets played. It would really get the players going! Another idea is two goal songs. One for goals when they`re losing, and one for goals when they`re up.

Of course, if the Leafs brass do pick a new goal song, there`s a big list of candidates that come from right here in Toronto, Canada.

This was a fun exercise, so enjoy this gallery of renders I did from some of my favourite suggestions. Go Leafs!

The winds of change are blowing in Leafland. And a topic that requires discussion is the state of our goal song, Hall & Oates pop number “You Make My Dreams.” Don’t get me wrong, I love Hall & Oates, but soon it’ll be 6 years and I think we need something that gives off a more dominant, killer vibe. My vote is Metallica’s “Fight Fire with Fire.” Nothing like a little speed metal to get the barn going! What do you think about our current goal song? What would you change it to? I’ll do a render of the most liked songs and post up to the ‘gram. Let the debate begin! 🔥

Thomas Suddon was a Toronto librarian who had a habit of collecting street posters from telephone poles with his son Alan over several decades.

The collection was kept and donated to the Toronto reference library, where its become a unique time capsule of 20th century Toronto.

We used 4 posters from the collection for our book, so I’m thrilled that it’s finally getting the exhibit treatment. Check out the exhibition “POST NO BILLS” at the TD gallery inside the Reference library until June 25th 👊🏻
