2004 was the year of DOOM. Only two weeks after the release of Madvillainy (his collaboration with producer Madlib), DOOM and his Stonesthrow Records crew steamrolled into the Opera House for one the most legendary nights in Toronto hip-hop history (the venue was changed from Mod Club to the larger Opera House). Detroit’s J Dilla was also on the bill performing with Madlib as ‘Jaylib’ – their one and only studio record together.
